If the study permit has been approved, unless otherwise dictated by the length of the program (e.g., Summer Program, Elite English Teen, Academic Term Abroad), the minimum stay in our homestay program is three months (12
\nweeks). If paid in advance when applying, the fee for the initial three-month period is not refundable. (During this period students can change their homestay, where a legitimate issue arises.)<\/p>\n

For the purpose of obtaining a refund of tuition fees, applicants are divided into two categories. Please check carefully to see into which category you fit. If you require further details on our policy, do not hesitate to contact us.[\/vc_column_text][vc_toggle title=”Category A”]All applicants who are Canadian citizens, have Permit Residence status in Canada, or are present in the country on a Minister\u2019s Permit, are entitled to a full refund of tuition fees (less any applicable administrative\u00a0fee(s) provided the following conditions are met:<\/p>\n

  1. That the College is in receipt of tuition paid by, or on behalf of that applicant for the purpose of subsequently\u00a0attending credit courses at the College, and;<\/li>\n
  2. That the applicant provide the College a minimum two week\u2019s written notification (via facsimile or otherwise)\u00a0prior to the date he\/she was scheduled to commence, resume or continue his\/her studies at the College.
    \n(The date for the purpose of notification is that upon which the College receives the notification).<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Postponing Commencement Date:<\/strong>\u00a0If the applicant wishes to postpone the date on which he\/she will\u00a0commence, resume or continue his\/her studies, and complies with the conditions in I & II above, he\/she can\u00a0do so without financial penalty. All tuition paid will be applied to credit courses taken by that applicant in\u00a0subsequent semesters. A failure to notify the College of a postponement or decision not to attend within the\u00a0specified timelines will result in the loss of tuition applicable for that semester. The balance of the tuition\u00a0paid, however, may be applied to future study or refund.[\/vc_toggle][vc_toggle title=”Category B”]All applicants who are by law required to obtain a Study Permit in order to attend a secondary school in\u00a0Canada, are entitled to a full refund (less any applicable administrative fees) provided the following\u00a0conditions are met:<\/p>\n

    1. The Applicant\u2019s application to obtain a Study Permit has been rejected by a Canadian Embassy or\u00a0Consulate; and,<\/li>\n
    2. The Applicant provides the College with the letter provided issued by the Canadian Embassy or Consulate\u00a0stating that the Applicant\u2019s application has been rejected;<\/li>\n
    3. That the College is in receipt of tuition paid by, or on behalf of that Applicant for the purpose of attending\u00a0courses at the College.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
